A cartoon strip I drew while cohabiting a house with a bunch of my buddies, cheap rent if you can deal with it. One of my roommates had this short haired terrier named Choc, which I formed this strip around. I named him Boing Boing because that's what he did a lot of. Yukon was my neighbor's dog, a Samyoid. They would carry on between the fence, friendly bantering. Go to the comic strip "Boing Boing and "Yukon. |

After I drew Boing Boing and Yukon, decided I would try another comic strip idea, Bennie's Beans. I was living cheap as I could at the time and was eating a lot of burittos. I'd make about two dozen at a time, freeze um, and eat um, for a couple of weeks, then repeat the process. But for the strip I decided to use chili, that way I could draw those big ol pots, I remember from a dishwashing job in my youth. Go to the comic "Bennie's Beans" |

This is a group of political cartoons I did from March to May, every day. I had recently taken a buyout at the company I worked for and thought I'd try drawing some political cartoons for a while. I kinda got the bug when the politcal cartoonist at the paper, I worked for, took a sabatical for a year and there was an opening for political cartoonist, so I thought I'd give it a try. Didn't happen, but I played like I was one, anyway. Mike's attempt at, go to: political cartoons Take yourself back in time to 1991. I might note here that all my cartooning at this point had been in pen & ink, I now use a drawing pad with my Macintosh computer. Quick cartoons take about 30 min. Usually like to draw for about 2 hours to get more detail. |
